Cătălin (Cătă)

I’m a dreamer, an artist, a boat builder, a pilot, and a sailor.

People say that if grabbed by the legs, turned upside down, and shaken, planes, boats, and adventure plans will fall.

Some of this stuff ends up in books.

I am not a native English speaker, but this is how culture evolves.

The books are connected through their characters, but the connection is not strong enough to consider them series or sequels. The only exemption is the Navigator series. I’m already working on the second book. Stick around during the summer of ’25.

Eighty flights connect us to the Flight Dispatcher through Matei, the grandfather of Kamil, who in turn is the father of Karl, from The Navigator, and who in turn is the father of…You’ll find out later. I didn’t want to create a deeper connection. It rarely happens in life. The books depict only the finest life adventure or the pivotal point in the life of a particular character, those finest hours we all experience at some point.

Matei has his years of flying.

Kamil has his adventure in Malta.

Karl has his moment by saving his family.

After the adventure ends, they all become normal people and have normal lives—stuff that isn’t worth mentioning in a book.

Improving Work And Information Flow In A Busy Aviation OCC, The Qajaq Book, and Tales Of Three Boats are all stand-alone books, the last one illustrated. And speaking of illustrations –

Zuzana (Zuzi)

I am deeply drawn to the stories woven by Nature. They evoke in me a range of emotions that find expression in my art, providing an escape from the mundane routine of life.

Nature is my greatest inspiration. Nature and emotions. I love to play with images and their meanings, to create metaphors and personifications from them. I enjoy giving meaning and adding relationships to the objects on the canvas to create a whole world there.

I love the mood certain landscapes create.

I’m curious about the world and crazy about adventures.

I like the mist and the rain.

Oh, and did I tell you that I also like books?
